fear factor in Malaysia
You been watching the show for years but now you can really be part of it. Fear Factor is the show where each contestant will performs some crazy stunt to win the cash prize. Our local tv network NTV7 is giving us a chance to try out all these "low risk" yet high entertain activities and reward RM10,000 to the winner. Isn't that a good news!! But how much money will NTV7 spend to produce this show? According to Matt Kunitz (USA's Fear Factor producer), the show's budget has always remained in the $1 million-$1.2 million range for each hour episode. Therefore is interesting to watch a high budget show produce by Malaysian. Although we had Malaysian Idol and Who Wants to be Millionaire, but those shows can't compare with Fear Factor which contain extreme stunts. Yea, singing in high/low/wrong pitch or answer 15 "world class" tough questions isn't consider as an utmost actions.
Since we been shouting out the "Malaysia Boleh" slogan for so long until I can't recall when we started. Surely Malaysian will do whatever it takes to win those attractive cash prize and fame. Just check out Malaysia's "Guinness book of Record" and you will find something like Most Number of Cars Sold (by EON), Largest Service Centre (by EON), Fastest Mono Cable Car System (who else than Genting), Most Number of Roller Coasters in Malaysia (yup, is Genting again), Most Number of People to Squeeze into a Kancil (by the students of INTI College Subang Jaya) and lists keep going on and on. Goshhh, Malaysian is so obsess with creating a record.
So I'm sure there will be a lot of fearless citizen eager to participate in this reality show. How about you? Interesting? Just visit NTV7's fear factor website and download the entry form. But just want to warn you, it's a 15 pages form with different kinds of questions. The closing date for season 1 entries is on 7th July. Act quick!
Malaysians, get ready for the gross actions with blood, guts and creepy-crawly things!
